ADHD is characterised by a pattern of constant attention deficit, hyperactivity and impulsivity. That is why ADHDers often have difficulties at school. The problems they have to deal with are often very similar to learning disabilities, such as reading slowly and incoherently, having trouble writing, having diffulties with mathematics and with algebraic problems in particular.
Other problems are typical of ADHD: lack of time management and structered work, insufficient motivation to do your best and memory problems.
ADHD students often work better with a clear syllabus in which everything is explained clearly.
Repetition is very important to ADHD students. Material needs to be repeated frequently because otherwise, it gets forgotten very easily.
When classes or courses take a long time, chances are that ADHD students dream away. Sufficient breaks are indispensable when transmitting knowledge. A varied presentation keeps them focused as well.
ADHDers are distracted very easily. It is recommendable to put them in the front of the classroom, so very few things can divert their attention.
Passing on material orally is dangerous. ADHD students are very likely not be focused enough or to only absorb part of the discourse. That is why it is best to put everything on paper.
For large assignments, it is appropriate for ADHD students to divide those into smaller ones. A deadline for each partial assignment contributes to their motivation and keeps them focused on the project.
Bach flowers definitely support the learning process.
