At the end of the last century dr.Edward Bach developed the Bach flower therapy. The Bach flower therapy is a method to cure certain emotional or mental complaints. There are 38 different Bach flower remedies. The real art is making a right selection from all the different Bach flowers, taking into account that maximum 6 flowers can be combined.
Most Bach flower remedies are customized. The rescue remedy, however, is a composition created by dr. Bach himself and can be used for sudden emergency situations. The rescue remedy is a composition which dr. Bach created when he was helping a man who was unconscious. The rescue remedy, or sometimes called the first aid remedy, consists of five Bach flowers: star of Bethlehem, clematis, impatiens, Rock Rose and Cherry plum. The rescue remedy is originally a liquid product, which means that you must take in the drops directly onto the tongue. Yet, there is another form of the rescue remedy, which is the rescue cream.
The rescue cream is used for all sorts of skin diseases. For instance, you can use it for a dry skin, rash, small burns, sores, a too greasy skin, skin irritations, skin infections and so on. The rescue cream can be applied very frequently, since no complications or side-effects can arise. Even with very small children and babies, the balm can be used without any problems. The balm has a very mild composition and does not cause irritations. By analogy with the rescue remedy drops, the rescue balm can only be used for sudden ailments, but the rescue cream will generally be used for a longer period.
The rescue cream is available in different packagings. The package which is used most frequently is the one of 30g, but there are also packages of 300-500 g. The advantage of the balm is that it does not go rancid. Legally speaking, there needs to be an expiry date on the packaging, but in practice, the balm is not perishable.
