Students suffering from ADHD have a hard time. They have trouble concentrating, have learning disorders, find it hard to remember details, fidget all the time, and do not learn easily from past mistakes. Yet, there are a few measures which can help you pass smoothly.
Find a leaning method that suits you best. Everyone has an appropriate and individual method. Some people are visually impaired, others auditively, and then there are those which need to be actively involved. The latter method is often the most proper way for ADHD students. They are often very active by nature and prefer to do things themselves over learning how to do them from a book.
Structure your textbooks. ADHD students are rather sloppy and their syllabi often look very chaotic. That is why pages between seperate chapters and colours make everything more organized. ADHD students with a structured and surveyable syllabus will be much more motivated to study.
Learn how to take notes during classes. ADHDers are often very absent-minded during classes. It takes them much effort to remember everything which was discussed in class. That is why it is important to take notes during classes so as to absorb the subject matter more easily afterwards.
Learn to count to ten before reacting. One of the typical characteristics of ADHDers is their impulsivity. They act before they even stop to think. That is why, for example, they have much trouble solving questions. After having read only half a sentence, they are already filling in the answer.
Discover your qualities and use them. ADHDers own qualities which other people do not. Discovering and using those qualities contributes greatly to their self-esteem. The characteristics below are very common with ADHDers:
Increased alertness. They always see and hear everything. They are creative thinkers who always seem to come up with original ideas. They are very persevering, they keep on trying until they succeed. They have a lot of energy. They have a great sense of humour. They are very sociable people who are good at chatting.
